No reading or writing skills in Gujarati are required — this course will start from the basics.
Basic understanding of a few common Gujarati words (like "kem cho", "su thayu", "aavjo") is helpful.
The student comes from a Gujarati-speaking family environment (hears Gujarati at home occasionally or regularly).

Can parents watch or join the sessions?
Parents are welcome to observe quietly (especially for younger children) during the first few sessions. However, we encourage kids to build independent confidence by participating themselves!
How big are the class sizes?
We keep class sizes very small (typically 3–5 students) to allow personalized attention, active participation, and a supportive environment for each child.
Will there be any certificate given?
Yes! Children who complete either the 6-week or 10-week course will receive a Certificate of Achievement, celebrating their efforts and new skills in Gujarati.
What if my child misses a class?
We encourage regular attendance, but if a session is missed, we provide: Summary notes Recorded sessions and homework instructions Extra help if needed (email or short catch-up session)
How much homework is there?
Homework is light, fun, and designed to encourage practice without stress — such as: Drawing family trees Speaking 5 sentences a day Listening to a Gujarati song Completing simple worksheets
What materials will my child need?
A notebook and pencil for writing Basic coloring materials (crayons, markers) Printed worksheets (we provide them digitally) Internet connection and a device with a camera/microphone
How are the classes conducted?
All classes are live, interactive sessions taught online via video call (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.). Each session includes speaking practice, fun games, visuals, stories, songs, and cultural activities to keep kids engaged.
Will my child learn to read and write in Gujarati?
Yes! The course introduces Gujarati script, starting with vowels and simple words. The 10-week course builds further into reading short sentences and writing basic paragraphs.
Does my child need to know Gujarati already?
A basic familiarity with a few Gujarati words or phrases is helpful, but we start with beginner-friendly activities to make sure everyone feels included and successful.

This course is for kids (ages 6–14) from Gujarati-speaking families who live in Western countries. It's ideal for children who hear Gujarati at home but need help with speaking full sentences, reading, writing, and building cultural confidence.
