Session Recordings for Rewatching
**Putting It Together – Practice Game** In this session, students will apply their knowledge of piece movements and basic rules by playing practice games against each other, reinforcing what they’ve learned so far. **Review and Recap** This session will serve as a review of everything covered in the previous sessions. Students will discuss their experiences and clarify any misunderstandings about the rules and piece movements. **Puzzle Session** Students will engage in solving chess puzzles that reinforce the tactics they have learned. This session will focus on recognizing patterns and applying strategies in practical scenarios. **Game Review** Students will review their practice games, discussing key moves and strategies used. They will reflect on what worked well and what could be improved in their gameplay. **Surprise Test** This session will include a short test to assess students' understanding of the chessboard, piece movements, and basic rules. The results will help identify areas for further review. **Introduction to Basic Tactics** In this session, students will be introduced to the concept of tactics in chess, learning about their importance and how they can influence the outcome of a game. **Forks** Students will learn about the tactical motif of the fork, where one piece simultaneously attacks two or more enemy pieces. They will practice identifying and executing forks in games. **Pins** This session will cover the tactic of the pin, where a piece cannot move without exposing a more valuable piece behind it. Students will practice recognizing and utilizing pins. **Skewers** Students will learn about skewers, a tactic that forces an opponent's more valuable piece to move, exposing a less valuable one behind it. They will practice applying this tactic. **Combining Tactics** In this session, students will learn how to combine different tactics, such as forks, pins, and skewers, to create powerful attacking opportunities. They will practice these combinations in exercises. **Puzzle Session** Another session of puzzle-solving will be held, this time focusing on more complex tactics involving multiple pieces. Students will develop their problem-solving skills. **Game Review** Students will analyze their recent games and puzzle exercises, discussing the tactics used and identifying areas for improvement. This reflective practice helps solidify learning.
