Let’s make August festive and creative — the Enthuziastic way!
Cultural Rhythms
From colorful festivals and sacred rituals to the patriotic pride of Independence Day, every celebration paints life with its own shade of joy. Together, these traditions beautifully reflect India’s spirit of unity in diversity, where culture, faith, and happiness merge in perfect harmony.
Varlakshmi Puja
Celebrated on the second Friday of Sravana Masam, this festival honors Goddess Lakshmi for wealth and well-being. Women perform puja to gold and money, prepare dishes like pulihora and burelu, and tie a yellow thread (kankanam) with nine knots.
For newly married women, it’s their first festival at their in-laws’ home. A gold Lakshmi coin is often added to the mangalsutra after the puja as a sign of prosperity.
